Indian Himalaya

India is more a continent than a state, with more diversity than unity. We have to choose. Our journey is like a picture where a painter presents different motifs in one frame. It is only when we see it completely that we have a feel for the immensity and diversity of the Indian experience. Catch the inimitable feeling of high mountain euphoria, a feeling of purity and the comprehension of crystalline clarity that has always led traditional people to identify great heights with divinity; we come to understand why the Himalaya has been called the abode of the gods.
