Imperial Vineyards of Slovenia Hungary and Austria

7 days tour 
Many who join the European wine tours will by-pass the mountanous regions and the off-the-path wine-producing provinces. Even though most of the wines you will taste are not exported, they are definitely a very worthwhile discovery. Journey through regions where vineyards are steeply terraced almost to the snow line. Visit areas where vineyards embrace beautiful lakeside resort and landscapes where wine exists in a climate where olive trees flourish. This unique tour is one that you will not want to miss.

Day 1 – Brnik Airport – Ljubljana - Ptuj – Jeruzalem - Maribor

(D, 2 x wine sampling)
Wine and vine growing have marked Ptuj and its surroundings since Roman times. The oldest wine in the cellars is the “golden wine’’ vintage of 1917. Wine sampling and a scenic drive over the vineyard hills of Jeruzalem. Overnight in Maribor.   

Day 2 - Maribor - Radgona - Lake Balaton (Hungary)

Morning visit to Gornja Radgona wine cellars. Next is Hungary and the northern shore of Lake Balaton, the “Hungarian Sea”. The vineyards on the slopes of old volcanoes bearing grapes from vineyaeds that date back to Roman times. Visit the Research Institute for Viticulture and Wine Museum. Overnight at Balaton.

Day 3 - Balaton - Budapest (All day excursion)

Budapest, “Queen of the Danube,” once the great Imperial City. After sightseeing, time for shopping at your own pace, or opt for a cruise on the Danube. Dinner includes excellent Hungarian wines and gypsy music.

Day 4 - Balaton - Eisenstad

(Austria, Burgenland) (B, D, 2 x wine sampling)
Visit the charming old town of Sopron, and the local winery for wine sampling before you enter the Austrian wine province of Burgenland near Lake Neusiedl. In Rust, home of the nobles and the sweet white Ausbruch wines,visit Austria's Wine Academy for wine sampling and dinner. Overnight in the capital of Burgenland, Eisenstad.

Day 5 - Eisenstad - Vienna (full day excursion) / wine sampling

(B, D, 1 x wine sampling).
Vienna, the cross-roads of Europe, which stood for a thousand years as the capital of the Habsburg Empire. Guided sightseeing of Vienna and free time in the city centre. Dinner with music and wine in Vienna Woods "Heurigen" district restaurants. Overnight in your hotel in Eisenstad. 

Day 6 - Eisenstad - Graz - Klagenfurt – Bled

(B, D,)
Journey through the loveliest parts of Austria. Through Styrian towns of Graz and Carinthian lakes resorts to Lake Bled in Slovenia. Dinner, farewell party and overnight in your hotel in Bled. 

Day 7 Bled - Brnik Airport

Morning at leisure. Evening transfer to Brnik Airport for your homebound fly.

1.   Airport transfers upon arrival and departure.
2.   Tour director: professional multilingual tour director while touring.
3.   Motorcoach: private deluxe motorcoach featuring full air-conditioning, reclining seats, large picture windows, foot rests.
4.   Hotels: with twin-bed rooms and private bath or shower, hotel taxes, service charges and tips for baggage handling. 
6.      Welcome drink and farewell party. 6 breakfasts (B) 6 dinners (D).
7.      8 wine-samplings with presentation of wines, winegrowers and wine-growing regions.
8.      Sightseeing with local experts: Maribor, Budapest, Vienna, Ljubljana.
9.      Visits to:  6 wineries in three countries, 6 wine cellars.
10.  Scenic highlights: Favorite wine-growing regions in Slovenia, Hungary and Austria - Lake Balaton, Lake Neusiedl, Burgenland, Vienna Woods, Austrian Alps, Carinthian Lakes, Julian Alps,

General Terms and Conditions for travel and trips are an integral part of the program. By letter that comes later than 7 days (multi-day trip) or. 3 days (day trips) before leaving the agency Okarina you informed of the details of the program. In the event that notice within that period you did not receive, we must answer the phone or via e-mail. If you do not, assume that you receive our notice. Incomplete information on the application form which does not timely received our notice are not considered as force majeure. The costs incurred in such a case shall be borne by the passenger.
